Regulations  for dermatology classes for ED students

Dermatology - IV year – Medical Faculty

1.      Participation in didactic classes (both classes and lectures)  is mandatory and is currently controlled. 

2.      Each absence in classes including Rectors’ hours or Rectors’ days  requires making up for the classes. The way of making up for classes is determined by the assistant on the basis of the academic year plan.

3.      Practical training in the 2021/22 academic year will take place in the Clinic, while lectures - online via the Teams or Zoom platforms.

4.      The condition for obtaining a credit in the course is confirmed attendance and a positive grade (60% of the material)

5.      The examination (oral) consists of two parts – practical and theoretical.

6.      The following grade scale is applied during credits and examinations:

very good                                                      5,0

good plus                                                       4,5

good                                                              4,0

sufficiently good                                           3,5

fail                                                                 2,0

Safety regulations for students taking part in classes

in Dpt of Dermatology, Venereology and Allergology

 

1.      The regulations are obligatory for all students taking part in classes  in the Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Allergology

2.      The students are obliged to comply to commands and instructions given by assistants and superiors.

3.      The students are required to comply with the time of classes, occupational health and safety regulations, fire safety regulations, Clinic regulations and patient's rights, and take care of the Clinic's property.

4.      The students are obligated to wear face masks, white coats and protective footwear during classes in the Clinic. The students are obligated to wear disposable protective gloves while examine the patients.

5.      The students are obliged to comply to the safety rules, time of activities, fire regulations, regulations of the Department, the rights of the patients and care for Department’s property.

6.      The entrance to the hospital wards and laboratories are allowed only with permission of the assistant.

7.      During the classes it is not allowed to eat, drink, loud conversations, use mobile phones, take outer garments to the hospital wards or receive visitors

1.     4.10.2021 Structure and functions of the skin. Skin lesions. Diagnosis of skin disorders. Infectious skin diseases: contagious impetigo, perleche (angular stomatitis), folliculitis of the vestibule of the nose, furunculosis of the face, sycosis, erysipelas, actinomycosis, tuberculosis.  Candida infections.

2.     18.10.2021 Viral skin infections: herpes simplex, herpes zoster, HPV infections. Aphthosis (Behcet’s syndrome). Lichen planus.

3.     8.11.2021 Erythema multiforme. Cheilitis. Melkersson-Rosenthal syndrome. Skin changes in AIDS.

4.     22.11.2021 Bullous diseases: pemphigus, pemphigoid.. Tongue conditions.

5.     6.12.2021 Connective tissue disorders: clinical and immunological features of lupus erythematosus and scleroderma.  Psoriasis.

6.     20.12.2021 Precancerous conditions of skin and mucous membranes. Malignant skin tumours. Basal cell carcinoma. Squamous cell carcinoma. Naevi. Melanoma.

7.     10.01.2021 Allergic diseases. Mechanisms of allergic reactions. Drug eruptions. General treatment guidelines.

8.     24.01.2021 13.00-14.20

Sexually transmitted diseases. Etiology and pathogenesis of syphilis. Microbiological and serological investigations. Clinical features with special emphasis on changes in oral cavity. Congenital syphilis. Treatment of syphilis. Gonorrhoea.

25.10.2021 Oral changes in the course of genetical disorders (pachyonychia congenita, dyskeratosis congenita, Papillon – Lefevre syndrome). Precancerous conditions. Malignant tumours.

15.11.2021 Bullous diseases. Connective tissue disorders.

29.11.2021 Aphthosis. Behcet’s syndrome. The clinical problem of oral ulcerations. Psoriasis.      

13.12.2021 Allergic diseases. Tongue and lips conditions. Melkersson-Rosenthal syndrome.
